Welcome to Chill! These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chill regarding your access to and use of the Chill mobile application.

Agreement: By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue use of the App.

01 Standalone Application & Data Sovereignty

Chill is architected as a strictly local-first, standalone application. This architectural choice has significant implications for your data:

  • No Cloud Infrastructure: We do not operate, rent, or maintain any central cloud servers to process, store, or backup your personal data.
  • Device-Specific Storage: Your diaries, wardrobe catalogs, photos, and virtual currency balances exist only on the specific device where you created them.
  • Irreversible Data Loss: If you delete the App, reset your device, or lose your device without a prior system-level backup, your data is permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us.

CRITICAL WARNING: We have NO capability to restore your data. You are solely responsible for enabling your device's backup mechanisms to preserve your content.

02 Description of Services

Chill provides a personal lifestyle management toolset ("Services") that includes but is not limited to:

  • Wardrobe Management: Tools to catalog, categorize, and view personal clothing and accessories.
  • Digital Diary: A private space to record daily thoughts, moods, and attach photos.
  • Virtual Economy: A gamified system using "Chill Coins" to unlock features or save entries.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice to you.

03 Eligibility & User Accounts

Age Restriction: The Service is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

No Registration Required: Chill does not require you to create a username or password. Your "account" is inextricably linked to your device's local storage.

04 Virtual Currency - Chill Coins

The Service allows you to earn and use a virtual currency known as "Chill Coins".

  • Limited License: Chill Coins are a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use digital features. They are not property.
  • No Real World Value: Chill Coins have zero monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash, goods, or services outside the App.
  • Local Balance: Your coin balance is stored locally. Reinstalling the app will reset your balance to zero unless you restore from a device backup.

05 User Content & Conduct

You retain full ownership of the text, files, images, and other content ("User Content") you create. However, you agree to use the Service responsibly.

Zero Tolerance Policy

We enforce a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding objectionable content. You strictly agree NOT to use the App to generate, store, or display content that:

  • Is illegal, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, or racially/ethnically offensive.
  • Depicts sexual acts, explicit nudity, or child exploitation.
  • Promotes or encourages self-harm, suicide, anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders.
  • Incites violence or promotes terrorist activities.

Enforcement & Reporting

Although we cannot remotely access your local data, we reserve the right to:

  • Terminate your license to use the App if we receive valid reports of abuse.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities regarding illegal activities.

06 Intellectual Property Rights

The design of the Chill App along with Chill created text, scripts, graphics, interactive features and the like, and the trademarks, service marks and logos contained therein ("Chill Content"), are owned by or licensed to Chill, subject to copyright and other intellectual property rights under United States and foreign laws and international conventions.

The App is provided to you AS IS for your information and personal use only.

07 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHILL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
